Send a Box of Joy to a Child this Christmas

Due to the tremendous response to last year’s Box of Joy Service Project our Outreach Committee has chosen to participate in the Box of Joy Program again this year and put together 150 Boxes of Joy. These adult shoe size boxes are filled with small toys, school supplies, personal care items, sewing kits, lightweight drawstring tote bags, etc. that will be shipped to children in the neediest parts of the world through Cross Catholic Outreach’s Box of Joy Program.

Stop in the Narthex and check out the posterboard display to see the list of items we will be collecting and the basket for collecting the items. Twice a month we will publish a list in the bulletin of the items we will be collecting for the upcoming weeks.

For the weekends of July 12-13 and July 19-20 we are asking for donations of school supplies, especially, but not limited to: glue sticks, 8 packs of crayons, 8 packs of colored markers, and single theme spiral notebooks.

The shipping cost for these boxes is $9.00 each. If you would like to make a monetary donation to help offset the cost of shipping, please make your check out to Holy Trinity Parish with Box of Joy in the memo line, place it in an envelope marked “Box of Joy” and drop it in the collection basket or mail/drop it off at the Parish Office.
