The Sacraments guide Catholics through life’s spiritual journey. There are seven sacraments of the Catholic Church. The Sacraments of Christian Initiation are Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. The Sacraments of Healing are Penance and Reconciliation, and Anointing of the Sick. The Sacraments of Service are Matrimony and Holy Orders. If you would like more information about Sacramental preparation, please call the parish office.
Sacraments of Christian Initiation

Baptism
Baptism marks the beginning of a Christian life by cleansing original sin. By Baptism we become members of the Church, the Body of Christ.

Confirmation
Confirmation strengthens faith through the Holy Spirit.

First Holy Eucharist
The Eucharist, or Holy Communion, is the reception of Christ’s body and blood.
Sacraments of Healing

Penance and Reconciliation
Penance offers forgiveness of sins through confession and absolution. Penance is an experience of the gift of God’s boundless mercy.

Anointing of the Sick
Anointing of the Sick provides comfort and grace to those suffering physically or spiritually.
Sacraments of Service

Holy Orders
Holy Orders ordains men into the priesthood.

Marriage
Matrimony unites a man and woman in a lifelong, sacramental bond.
