Sharing Memories

Holy Trinity Catholic Church Bereavement Support Group

Grieving doesn’t always end with the funeral. Often those left behind need the help and support of others who have also experienced the loss of a loved one. They need someone to talk to who understands their pain and they need to know they are not alone in their journey of grief.

Please join us as we celebrate the lives of our cherished ones who were called back to the Lord. Help us get to know your loved one by sharing the wonderful memories you made with them, and the challenges you were confronted with after their entrance into Eternal Life. Together, we will honor their spirit while bringing comfort to each other. Surrounded by others, who are caring and compassionate, we provide a safe and spiritual environment for you to tell your story.

Finding Peace, Sharing Memories meets the last Thursday of the month at 6:00 PM in the Parish Office. The sessions are approximately 90 minutes. If you would like to attend our next session, please contact us prior to the meeting date either by phone (call or text) or email.

Brenda Laatsch

Finding Peace Bereavement Ministry Coordinator

“I feel truly blessed to be a part of an amazing family here at Holy Trinity.
Following the loss of my only child, Thomas, God led me to Holy Trinity in a
very unique and spiritual way. I am deeply honored to be working side by
side with Deacon Michael Koebel in helping others find peace after the loss
of their loved ones whom God has called back to Himself.”

Brenda Laatsch, Finding Peace Bereavement Coordinator, is thankful to
God for bringing her into the Bereavement Ministry at Holy Trinity Parish in
Newburg. While working over thirty-five years in a manufacturing setting
and attaining a degree in Business Management, she always felt her life
was missing something. She believes that her true calling became
apparent when she stepped into Holy Trinity after the heart-breaking loss of
her son, who died of complications from Influenza, at the age of thirty-two.
She is embracing the love and support she received from God during her
difficult time and using His guidance to help others find peace following
their loss.

Brenda Lives near the Newburg area with her husband and two cats. She
enjoys camping while taking in the beauty that our Lord provided us with.
She also is very passionate about animals and feels God’s love through the
comfort they give her. She prays for all who are suffering and hopes they
too can find the same peace she found after losing a loved one.

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16
