FUNERALS

If you have lost a loved one, we extend our deepest sympathy and will keep your family in our prayers. Please contact the Parish Office to notify us of your loved one’s passing and then contact the funeral home of your choice.

After meeting with the deceased’s family and understanding their wishes for the funeral service, the funeral home will contact the Parish Office to inquire about the availability of the church and a priest/deacon for the desired date and time for the service.

The family should contact the Parish Office as soon as possible to schedule a meeting with the priest or deacon who will be presiding at the funeral liturgy. This meeting will help you plan the details of the service, including the choice between a Mass or a liturgy without a Mass, selecting readings from the Old Testament, New Testament, and the Gospels and other aspects of the service such as a eulogy or the participation of family or friends in the service.

Our Music Director will meet with you (in person or over the phone) to help you choose hymns and other musical selections that are fitting for the service, offer comfort, and reflect your loved one’s life.

If desired, our Funeral Ministry is available to host a luncheon following the service. The family makes the arrangements with an outside caterer and our Funeral Ministry will set-up, serve, and clean-up and offer help and support to the family and their guests. Our Funeral Ministry is available to help with suggestions for a catering service if needed and are available to answer any questions you may have regarding the luncheon.

Our Parish Staff will do our very best to make your loved one’s funeral liturgy a true celebration of their life.
